Download
- Download the following file to your Mac by clicking on the file
name:
MyBooksPro62_MacTiger.tar

Choose
the desired configuration:
Standalone
- Only one Mac will run MyBooks Professional.
Multi-User
- More than one Mac OS X computer will access the
MyBooks system (client/server).

Install
- Click on the MyBooksPro62_MacTiger.tar
icon on your desktop.
Stuffit will then uncompress the file. A new folder will be placed
on your Desktop called MyBooks Professional, open it. There will
be two files that appear in this folder: MyBooksPro.pkg and MyBooksProClient.pkg.
Click on MyBooksPro.pkg and follow the on-screen instructions to
complete the installation of the software.
NOTE: You will need to enter
the Administrator's password on the first screen. Click on the 'lock'
icon to enter it. |

Start
Up - Simply click on the MyBooks Professional icon in the Applications
folder. |

Install
- Click on the MyBooksPro62_MacTiger.tar
icon on your desktop. Stuffit will then uncompress the file. A
new folder will be placed on your Desktop called MyBooks Professional,
open it. There will be two files that appear in this folder: MyBooksPro.pkg
and MyBooksProClient.pkg.
Click on MyBooksPro.pkg and follow the on-screen instructions to
complete the installation of the software.

Restart
your Mac Server to start the MyBooks Professional daemon to allow
workstations to connect to this server.

2. Workstation (Running MyBooks
Professional on a workstation connecting to the server installed
above)

Install
- Copy the MyBooksProClient.pkg file to any Mac OS X workstation
on your network. Click on MyBooksProClient.pkg and follow the on-screen
instructions to complete the installation of the software.
NOTE: You will need to enter
the Administrator's password on the first screen. Click on the 'lock'
icon to enter it.

Start
Up - Simply
click on the MyBooks Professional Client icon in the Applications
folder. When prompted, specify the IP address of the server to which
you want to connect. Enter a username and password of a user already
created on the server using OS X user administration tool in "System
Preferences".

SERVER NOTE: To run MyBooks Professional in a multi-user environment,
you do not have to have the "Mac OS X Server" version
running as the server OS. Any Mac Workstation can be designated
as a MyBooks Professional server. |
